It’s not all Toyotas and Ford Rangers here at TJM Hunter Valley! We get everything come through our workshop from Suzuki Vitaras to Nissan Patrols – we’ve even done a few Kia Rios! We do a lot of work for various new and used car dealerships including this latest build on an MQ Mitsubishi Triton.
Being a demo vehicle which would be front and centre of the dealer’s showroom, we knew we needed to make it stand out and have some good gear so it was track-ready straight from the dealer’s floor.
We started with some nice bar work including the TJM T13 Outback bull bar, brush bars, side steps and the TJM RB6 rear bar. This thing will be well protected from things that tend to enjoy punishing your panel work like roos, tree stumps and rock shelves. The bar work for the new MQ Triton has been upped to 63mm tubing, so not only does it protect the vehicle better- it also looks fat. The RB6 rear bar also incorporates a tow bar that has a 3,500kg load rating, so will killed two birds with the one stone there! (No birds where actually harmed in the building of this vehicle).
Suspension lift was achieved with the fitting of a TJM suspension kit giving us approximately 50mm of lift over the standard height. Our TJM suspension comprises of coil springs that are manufactured by King Springs to our specifications and TJM’s own design of shock absorbers, leaf springs and other components including greaseable pins and shackles.
We went with the TJM Airtec snorkel to get that air intake up out of the dust and water for river crossings and the Airtec is synonymous for its quality and its neat-look fit compared to many other snorkels on the market.
Turning night into day up front is a Big Red 24” dual row LED combo light bar and we fitted a Lightforce genuine switch which are designed to fit the original factory light switch panels for that neat factory look.
A set of Pro Comp Series 36 Helldorado 17x 8 alloy wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson 265/70 x 17 Deegan 38 tyres. The Deegan 38 is a mud terrain tyre that has been designed with street driving in mind as well, placing it nicely between the ATZ P3 and the MTZ. It is a true all-rounder with aggressive performance with street manners.
The dealer was more than happy with the end result and we’re happy to see another build roll out the door. Ordering your TJM fit-out through your new car dealer is great option, especially if you are organising new car finance as you can bundle it all in together. Give us a call if you want to find out more about these options.
